Auditions

6th Grade Auditions

Stivers will be holding auditions for admission to Stivers School for the Arts on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Please review and/or download additional information related to your interest. Stivers is a six year program that begins in grade 7. Students should plan to arrive early for registration. Students may audition on Feb. 28 in up to four art areas: choir, piano, band, orchestra, visual art, dance, theatre, and creative writing. Students should access the audition prep materials on this web page by clicking on 'admission', 'middle school', and the art areas you are interested in. You do not need to register in advance, but most auditions require preparation before the audtion day.

Morning Session

Registration 7:30 - 8:00 am

Auditions 8:15 - 11:45 am (maximum of 2 auditions during the morning session)

Afternoon Session

Registration 12:15 - 12:45 pm

Auditions 1:00 - 4:30 pm (maximum of 2 auditions during the morning session)

Auditions for students in Grades 6 - 11 will be held on Saturday, April 18. By this date, it is likely that we will have filled most of our 150 seventh grade seats - don't wait until April to audition for the first time. Our 8th graders roll into our 9th grade, leaving 10 - 20 seats available for incoming 9th graders. Audition prep packets are available on this website and the times for audition sessions are the same as the Feb. 28 date above.more...
